Echoes of Stones and Manes

Echoes of Stones and Manes is an invitation to an inner journey, set within ruins steeped in history, alongside the horse—a free and timeless presence.

Born from the desire to explore places that resonate deeply within me, this photographic project takes us through magnificent heritage sites of Wallonia. Within these open-air foundations—silent witnesses to a bygone era—each stone seems to whisper an ancient memory woven of strength, fragility, and beauty.

Hovering between presence and absence, the ruins become spaces of transition, evoking the passage from the known to the unknown and inviting us onto an intimate personal path.

At the heart of these poetically charged landscapes, the horse appears as a benevolent guardian. Mysterious and profoundly connected to nature, it embodies freedom, trust, and quiet strength. A guide for souls in search of meaning, it accompanies us toward a deeper understanding of ourselves, reminding us that what has been lived remains forever present in our memories and dreams.

Instants Suspendus

Instants Suspendus is a photographic work filled with delicacy and poetry, celebrating the mysterious bond that unites women and horses.

Over the course of several years, I met women and their equine companions, inviting them to take part in an intimate artistic project. From these exchanges, shared moments emerged, enriching my vision of this feminine and equestrian realm.

I had the privilege of discreetly observing the singular relationship each woman shares with her horse—bonds woven from love, intuition, trust, and emotion.

Far beyond equine photography, Instants Suspendus is an invitation to feel. Across its pages, 34 evocative photographs engage in dialogue with short texts written by Isabelle Boey, whose delicate touch accompanies each image with accuracy and poetry.
